How to apply for a Italy Schengen visa from Pakistan
- Work out your jurisdiction from your permanent residence: Sindh and Balochistan apply via Karachi; everyone else via the Embassy in Islamabad.
- Book your appointment on the official Intiana website linked from the Embassy or Consulate page (separate sites for the Embassy and Karachi sides).
- Prepare your documents to the checklist the Embassy or Consulate publishes for your purpose of travel.
- Attend the centre for your district in person and give biometrics.
- Track your application through the centre and collect your passport when the decision is made.
The core documents are the same for every Schengen country — see the full requirements by profile — and the fees are explained on our fees page.
What is specific to Italy
Apply where you live — not where the slot is
Italy requires you to apply at the centre covering your area of permanent residence. A Karachi resident cannot submit in Lahore because a slot appeared there sooner.
Multan and Faisalabad applicants
The Embassy closed the Multan and Faisalabad centres permanently on 6 September 2026. Applicants from those areas now use the Islamabad or Lahore centre.
Appointments are never sold
Both the Embassy and the Consulate stress that appointments must never be bought, and the Karachi consulate asks applicants not to email it about appointments. Old Italy pages on other providers’ websites are out of date.
Students
Study visas for Italy also need Universitaly pre-enrolment through your university; the deadline for the 2026–27 intake is 30 November 2026.
How we can help with a Italy application
- Confirm Italy is the right embassy for your itinerary
- A document checklist for your profile, then a full review of your file
- Help with the form, cover letter and itinerary
- Preparation for the appointment — never buying or reserving slots
